She Was Looking for Work — He Was Looking for a Victim. (Iniubong Umoren)
The program
In April 2021, Iniubong Umoren, a young philosophy graduate, left home for what she believed was a job interview in Akwa Ibom State. She never returned.
As friends and family searched desperately for answers, attention turned to a man named Uduak Akpan, who had allegedly contacted her about the opportunity. What investigators uncovered would shock the nation and spark conversations about job scams, violence against women, and the dangers hidden behind seemingly ordinary opportunities.
This episode examines the disappearance of Iniubong Umoren, the investigation that led police to Uduak Akpan, the evidence presented in court, and the case that captured the attention of millions across Nigeria.
A heartbreaking story of trust, deception, and a young woman whose search for a better future ended in tragedy.
Welcome to Mysteries Niger. I'm your host Esther. There is a girl by the name of blessing Godwin in Yo in a quorum state in Nigeria. On what seemed to be a normal day, she felt the need to praise God, to worship him, and she really can't explain why. So she takes to her WhatsApp status, proceeds to post a couple of quotes about God's love for her, and she's wondering, why am I feeling this need to just give a testimony? Even though she admits that she doesn't really need a reason to thank God, because the gift of life is a reason to thank him every day, but she never really felt that way before.
He had just done something miraculous for her that she's just unaware of. Or maybe she has an idea. Maybe it has to do with the weird interview she was invited to a few days prior. Maybe it was because of how creepy the whole thing was. Maybe she felt like she escaped the devil. Few days later she realizes, yes, God really did do. Something immense for me, something miraculous for me because he saved me from a serial rapist and a murderer. Before we get into today's case, first disclaimer. This episode discusses real events involving violence and loss of life.

He is a psychopathic schizophrenic alleged schizophrenic murderer who was sentenced to death by hanging in Nigeria by the court of law for his crimes committed towards a newborn Omarin. This case was one that changed the trajectory of social media and the power of social media netizens.
She was very popular on X and had lots of following and was very active, friendly, bubbly person. And to know that one of those tweets that she left on her X page led to her being preyed upon and killed by a terrible person was shocking and is still shocking. This case is one that I did intense research on. I do research for all of my cases because I don't want to speculate, I don't want to share false information. And if there are any part of my episodes that are miscommunicated or wrong information, please always do let me know, point it out so I can make corrections as needed.
But this case I did extra work for it first because. It really, really was. Close to home for me, it happened in the same states that I heal from. So it was pretty much like could be anyone, could be anyone of us, it was one of us. With all the research I did, I ended up with so much information, too much information that there is some information I wish I didn't come across. I tore through her ex page, went through all her tweets and if you go through her tweets, there is absolutely no way you wouldn't fall in love with a new Bone or Moran.
She was a lively, bubbly, intelligent young woman. From her tweets you can tell that she was full of life or was smiling. Posted images of herself and you can just see. The beauty of her heart on her face. She was a student of UNIU, which is the Federal University in Yo University of Yo and she just graduated. She was waiting for her mobilization to go serve the country on the Youth Corps service while she was waiting for her mobilization so she could get posted to whichever part of Nigeria she would have to go serve.
She is. It wouldn't hurt to get a job while I wait. Plus things like that being posted to some part of the country to go serve for a year. You'll need money for the trip. You'll need money to get yourself over there, get settled and all that. And perhaps wait for a while before you start receiving allowance from the government. So perhaps that was the reason she wanted a job, just to raise some fund and get herself prepared for her. Her posting on the 27th of April. She was 26 years old at the time, just freshly out of university.
She posted on her Twitter page for a job opportunity. So right around 12:00 PM, she posted #aqui bomb Twitter, please. I'm really in need of a job, Something to do to keep mind and soul together while contributing dutifully to the organization. My location is a yo. I'm creative, really good in thinking critically and most importantly a fast learner. CV available on request. This was on April 27th 2021. So she posted she needs a job and she got replies on that post. Replies like if you can write article I can give you gigs.
If you can do marketing for an online platform, you can be engaged to market to brands and companies, essentially bringing in adverts for projects that I am the team lead and she responded I'm good with writing an online marketing. How do we begin? Another person replied to her post, well it depends on the pay you're looking for. DM me if you can work as a secretary. And she responded all right, sending DM right away. Someone else responded can you write song reviews and Christian news? And she responded, I think I can.
I'm good with writing and those kind of stuff. Among the people that saw the post, there was someone that also saw that post. And instead of honestly just leaving her alone because he has no job opportunity to offer her, he decided to message her. He decided to reach out to her. He reached out to her, called her, told her that he has a job opportunity for her. According to him, much later, he said that he offered her a job as a secretary at a farm. And he claimed that this farm was supposed to be a narcotic farm where they are planting perhaps or just operating with narcotics.
He claimed that she was OK with the job and told him yes, she's fine with the job, that in fact she does narcotics herself, which that is arguable. That is still up for debate if that's really what happened. Personal opinion here, I don't think that's what happened. It kept the narcotic part out of the story. Long story short, he told her he has a job opportunity for her as a secretary and she's good. She's good at writing, she's good at marketing like she said on the post replies. So she agreed to meet up for an interview and he sent her the location for the interview.
You know, directed her on the phone to where to come to where they're going to meet, rendezvous. According to him, he directed her to come meet him at the airport Rd. The farm is along the airport Rd. So she came and it went S from there. Two days goes by, her friends didn't hear from her so her closest friend started to post online. Hashtag justice for any that she should be found because they didn't know what happened to her, where she was. And eventually all roads LED back to Woodward Aquan. That she went to meet him for a job opportunity and he was arrested after fleeing town and ended up returning and turning himself in because lots of things happened that led to him turning himself in, which I will tell you all about.
And when he was arrested, he took the authorities to his father's compound, where they have a building project in progress and show them a shallow grave where he had buried her. And she was exhumed and taken to the University Hospital for an autopsy. Now one is arrested. He is questioned. At first, he denies knowing the girl. I've never met her. I spoke to her briefly, but we've never met. I don't even know who she is. But after some time, he admits that, OK, yes, I know her. I did meets her and he now tells what happened according to his story.
So there is his story and there is what there is what people believed briefly was what happened and there's what I think my own theory, which I will leave till the end. So he has this press meeting, press conference where he's been questioned. And first let me just say, because you have a mic and you have access to a blog, also have access to information, doesn't mean you can just record things. Go sit in front of your laptop or your computer, type some words, post to the blog and call yourself a journalist.
People study hard, work hard, do lots of research, lots of training to qualify as a journalist. You can't call yourself a journalist. Interview someone, a criminal who sounds intellectual than you, who sounds smarter than you, who is mug the entire time, who is slightly smiling, feeling even though he has done the worst crime ever. And you stand there and you ask him ridiculous questions. You ask him irrelevant questions, questions that reflect lack of preparation, lack of experience. Lack of intelligence, lack of skills.
He has this press conference and side note, sorry, I'm talking really, really slowly, like I'm counting my words. My dyslexia has been really, really in intense for a while now. I'm dealing with some life disruption that's really affecting everything. We're making major plans. It's really disrupting me. So it's also affecting my communication skill. My words are really scrambled if I try to talk fast. So to avoid too much editing work for me, trying to edit out all the. The jargons and the mispronounced words or all of.
That it's best if I just talk slowly and make sure that I say my words properly and more fluent with my speech. Then try to stitch words together just to make it sound proper during editing. So I hope you do understand. Please bear with me. I hope this move comes and goes and everything can go back to normal. Or maybe I'll just speed up during the edit. Back to Uddhav. He's invited to this. I don't know if it's invited is the word but. I don't know if he's also forced. To do it. So I'll just use the word invited.
He is invited to this press conference. And the people who call themselves journalists, because honestly, I'm just going to call them reporters. It might even be an insult to reporters. I don't even know what to call them because there was lack of skills. But I'm not here to dig on themselves. They ask him questions like. Why did you hurt the lady? And he gives a flimsy excuse. It was supposed to be a payback to all the prostitutes that he. I'm not using the P word, he used the P word. That is supposed to be a payback to those people that that did him dirty in the past.
So he tried to do her dirty as a payback to those people who did him dirty. And another journalist asked him, was your father there when you hurt her? Was your father there when you took her life? And I'm like, kudos, kudos, professional. In fact, he was. Selling tickets where people can buy and view it. Life when he's assaulting and ending someone's life. He was live streaming it. What do you mean by was your father? There when he when, when you committed the crime, obviously he answered no, nobody was there.
It was just me. And another one asked him what do you think should be done? What do you think about justice for this case? Because he was saying he wishes nothing but justice for the case. And someone asked him, what do you think is justice for the case? What do you think is justice in this case? And he said whatever the court decides as justice, what if you have to give your life as justice? And he responded, well, if that's what the court decides, yeah, that's what's going to happen. It is what it is sort kind of attitude.
Were you in love? With her. And I'm like, does this person even know what love is? Do you kill people you love? He said, no, I wasn't in love with her. Tell us what happened. Just tell us exactly what happened that day. And he said he directed her. She came over. He said the crime happened at his father's uncompleted building that's still in progress. The building has no windows, no doors, no plastered walls. The floor is barely done. It's still being built. Just brick walls, roof, That's it. And the outside has some plants, some trees, some fruits and just open space.
And it's fenced around the property and the property is fenced around and there is a gate. So he claims that the girl came over when she arrived at this building that looks like Treble from the outside. Even she walked in. He told her there was no job, it was a lie. And she was shocked, surprised, and he held her hostage and told her he's going to let her go, but only after he assaults her sexually. In his version, he claims she said OK, but only if you agreed to use protection. And he said he agreed to use protection so they consensually had sexual relation.
Sometime during the whole ordeal, he decided to take off his protection and she got frantic. She got agitated and was asking him why he's taking it off, that I was on the agreement, and then she got aggressive with him, picked up a stabilizer that was close to them and smacked him on the face with it. So now he's hurt, he's injured and he's in pain. He started to attack her. She got up, started to run away from him. That was when he grabbed the same stabilizer that she smacked him with and smacked her on the head with it.
She fell to the ground, was screaming in pain, and she died. That was his story doesn't make sense at all. At the end, his defense was, guys, I'm not a bad person. It was self. Defense. Come on, it was self-defense. He said he didn't tend to end her life. She attacked him. He had to defend himself. And in the same breath, he was host. Was she your first victim? And he said yes, she was the first person whose life I took. But she wasn't my first assault victim. In fact, she was victim #7 he had previously assaulted, lured, held hostage, basically kidnapped and assaulted 6 other women before her.
And she was the first that he ended her life. He was taken to court and the burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that he was guilty was the burden of the state. Before he's even taken to court, lots of things happened. After he ended her life. He dug A shallow grave in the property, buried her, then went to his father, told the father that there's a health emergency and he has to take care of it. He's going to talk to him after. Apparently it was on the. Same day that he had committed the crime, According to him and the father, the father was not at home.
So he claims that they lived in the property that was still being built and the father wasn't home. He had gone to meet a friend, a friend who was once the father's schoolmate. So he had gone to visit the friend and he wasn't home. So when this whole incident happened, the father wasn't home, but when he returned, the son told him. He returned and saw the son all frazzled and stuff and asked him what happened and he said there was a health emergency but he would talk to the father the next day and the father let him be.
It was night at the time. The next day he went to the father and told the father he has to leave town without telling him why He skipped town to the next town to Kalabar, which is a town in Cross River State, which is a whole different state. So he travelled across state to a nearest state where his sister lived. Went to stay with the sister for I think a day or two and there's some rumors that the father was telling him through text messages to the sister that he shouldn't end his life but he should escape.
It was sort of a rumor around, but I couldn't really verify it, which gives the impression that the father was aware of what happened and that he was trying to end his life over what happened. But I really think that part must be speculations or rumors, because this young man, this devil, doesn't look like the type that would end his life over that. He looked like he was doing the journalists a favor, answering their questions in the interview. He was looking smug. He was talking so quietly, Barely.
Just muttering, barely. I couldn't even hear him and my volume was maxed out and I'm watching this video. I couldn't hear him. The phones are right next to his mouth. He's muttering like he doesn't even have the energy to speak to them and they kept on telling him over and over speak louder, speak louder, speak louder. One time one of the journalists said to him speak louder and he sneered at the guy, glared at the guy shooting daggers like how dare you kind of look if I felt like a celebrity press where his just there to confirm some relationship rumors.
He was so unbothered. That's not the type of person that's going to hurt himself or or take his own life over his crimes. So I think. Maybe the news of the father telling him don't end your life, instead he should escape. It must have been rumors. But I don't know because I couldn't verify it. So he leaves to the sister's place when the whole dots are connected and it all leads back to him. They go over to his father's house to arrest him. He's nowhere to be found. The father ends up being arrested because at first everyone's speculating that it must have been like a group thing.
It wasn't just him, that the girl was lured there and she was killed and sold for different rituals like body parts, like her parts were being sold for ritual purposes. They were linking so many people who even had no involvement to the case to the case of her demise and her parts missing. But eventually. Actually, the the victim's family ended up speaking out and clarifying to the public that she was intact and no further harm was done to her besides what Udrak had done to her himself. So when the father was arrested, news reached Udrak that his father was arrested and he had medications he had to take for his health, the father.
But while he was in custody, he couldn't take any of his medications. So there was panic in the family, the whole extended family as well, that he could die while in custody because he's unable to take his health medications. And Udwag was convinced by his family to return. So basically the cousin Kufre, who was thought to be involved in the crime at first, was called by his own father, which is Udwag's uncle. And he told the cousin like the uncle told his son. Have you heard of the the viral news trending online?
There was this news about kidnapping. They didn't even know that there were further crimes like rape and murder. But they knew that the girl was missing. So at first, his family thought that he was holding her hostage somewhere. So the uncle told his son. Have you heard of the viral news of UDWAC being associated with a kidnapping case? And Kufre was not aware. So he told his father he wasn't aware. And his father told him, well, it's trending everywhere. And right after the call with his father, his other cousin, so Kuffer's cousin, who also is Udwag's cousin, called him right after Kuffer's dad spoke to him and told him the same thing.
And was like, Udwag's father has been arrested. He can't have his medication in custody. And we're worried about his health. So Kuffer immediately rushes to the cousin's place. The cousin as a politician holds some power. He holds tangible amount of power to make changes, you know, so he he goes there, they discuss about the case and they called the DPO and the DPO arrived at the cousin's place. When he did, he filled them in on everything that they don't know where Udwak is and they're trying to find him around that time that he's talking to the DPO and the cousin who's a chairman, Udwak called him in front of them.
He stepped aside, spoke to Duac and was like, what's going on? What's happening? This is what's happening. Your father's been taken and all that. The cousin signaled to the chairman and the DPO that Duac was the one on the phone. So they're just, you know, trying to be quiet and not spook him or anything. So the cousin was asking him, like, I'm seeing about the viral case, the trending stories online, Is it true? Are you? Related to this case. You know this girl. And he tells the cousin no. I don't know the girl.
I did speak to her on the phone and we were supposed to meet on that day. But when she got to a certain junction, Ibiaku junction I believe, and when she arrived at the junction, she was supposed to meet me from that junction. She was supposed to make one last move from the junction to where I was. But I lost. Touch with her once she got to that junction. So I didn't meet her. I don't know her. I have nothing to do with her disappearance or anything. That was when the cousin started to encourage him to turn himself in.
If he has nothing to do with the case, that himself being Kufre and the other cousin who's a chairman, they will rally behind him and they will support him and help him. If he's innocent, he doesn't have to run and hide. He should turn himself in and then told him about his father and everything that's happening. So he told him where to go. Wait, police would go there and. And pick him up. So he went. There he waited. He called the cousin to tell him he was there. The TPO decided that he doesn't want to go with the police car because it might spook.
Him he might also alert everyone's attention and all that want to like quietly grab him without any public drama or any sort of chaos at all. So they should go with a normal car. So they ended up going with a regular car. Went to the junction at shelter freak and they grabbed him. Before they went to grab him his cousin the. Council chairman had told the police they should take him straight to the Anti Kidnapping Unit directly after they pick him up, but the DPO. Advised he should be brought back to the cousin's place to calm him down, that he might be a bit frazzled once they pick him up.
So they should bring him to the cousin's place, make him calm down and then encourage him to cooperate with the police with whatever they need to find the girl. So basically give, give us all the information, you know, because they're claiming you didn't hurt this girl. So tell us everything you know. And that was what they did. They picked him up, brought him back to the cousin's place who's council chairman. When he was there, he was asked if he knew anything about the girl, what he was aware of and all that.
He told them that he wanted to speak to the cousin Kufre. And the chairman alone, so the police officers and the DPO and everyone else should give them a minute, give him some space and privacy and they. Did so he had the room with Justice cousin and the chairman. They asked him to tell them everything about the case. When everyone left the room and it was just Woodrack Kufre and the chairman, he was asked Woodrack was asked if he knew the girl again, do you know the girl? And that was when he admitted that the girl did in fact get to his place.
And once the cousin heard that he was like OK, the girl left her. Place and now she the girl got to your place and now she's missing. So he was like, he's not going to beat around the. So he asked him directly, is she alive? And Udrich started to cry at that moment and shook his head no. And once the cousin and the German heard that saw that. They took back their. Words. We're not going to rally behind you. You did this. We're not supporting you. So they handed him. Back to the to the the police and was like we have nothing to do with him, we want nothing to do with him.
We have 0 support for him or for what he did. Please do not assault what he did. And once he was taken in, the dad was released because there was no evidence that the dad was aware of what he did or was involved, and the suspect himself verified that the dad was unaware of what he did. And didn't help him in any way. So he's taken to back to his home and that's when they recovered in his body. They also searched the crime scene. Based on the social media posts about what they found in the place, I saw videos of the site where her body was recovered.
I I couldn't watch the video. You just see a shallow hole in the ground and stuff around it. I saw the thumbnail and I couldn't even view the video. But there were like posts about the crime scene where the crime actually happened. And apparently there was. There was no electricity in the place because it's still a work in progress, no doors or windows Even so no electrical work was done. There were no beds or mattresses in the place. And there were also things found around in the rooms in the place like books, a red dress, a youth, copper's shoe, personal belongings like that.
And according to rumors, some of the books had different people's names on. But when he was questioned about it, he claimed that the names were only two names, his and his sister on the books. But rumors were saying that they were books belonging to other people, maybe even his victims. So on the 14th of May, Annie was put to rest. There was a funeral to celebrate her life that was being cut short by a terrible person. And I saw like a short clip and it's so heartbreaking. People crying, wailing, the pain you can't imagine at the peak of your life.
You've worked so hard. You're an orphan, you have just siblings, no parents. You work hard, you put yourself through school, your siblings all chime in and support you in every way. You are very intelligent graduate with second class upper. You're ready to start your life and you're just looking for a job. You're looking for a job and this happens. So in May she was put to rest and on the same day that she was put to rest was the same day that Woodruff ended up confessing to the police that he did in fact commit the crime because he was still telling the police he didn't do it.
He doesn't know her. He was denying it. On 26th of July, he was taken to court and there was a case filed against him on the 5th of November. When he showed up in court for his trial, suddenly he claimed that his confession was coerced, that he didn't do any of the things he said in the confession, it was coerced out of him. Even the self-defense that he said he did, he claimed suddenly it was coerced. On the 13th of April, 2022, his trial commenced, and on the 21st of June, 2022, the date for his court judgement was fixed, and on the 4th of August, 2022, sentence was passed and he was sentenced to death by hanging.
Very. Scared to do that because I thought maybe the whole scenario will be misunderstood. So initially, what was your motive before you you ask her to come to get the job, what was your motive? What was your mind initially? Well, initially I first I use reverse psychology on her because I've had very bad experiences with runs girls and with prostitutes. So I use reverse psychology on. I asked her whether she can work in a farm where hard drugs are kept and she accepted. She told me that she takes marijuana and cooking.
So I felt that that that that's the best way to revenge on the prostitutes around girls. And because of the no, I don't. I used to, I don't. Now, how do you feel about what's the whole thing? Yeah. What's the whole world? How do you feel? I'm not happy about it, but I believe that the Commissioner of Police is working with his men and yeah, that show Nigerians and the entire world that justice will take is cause. So you guys should just hold on and wait.
And see. It was it was not intentional.
I can see it was out of serve. What?
Do you mean because Frank tell us what happened, what happened? Not really. Just give us let us know what happened on that day. What happened was that she came for a supposed job interview which I used reverse psychology, and I asked her whether she can work in the farm.
I asked her whether she can work in the farm where hard drugs are kept. I told her she can work in the farm where hard drugs are kept as a secretary, and she said that she can, that she's ready to do the job. So when she came, I revealed to her that this farm doesn't exist. You know, there's nothing, there's no farm like that. And it was just a hoax, let me put it that way. So then I told her that before she leaves that I would like to have with her and she agreed but she gave a condition that I should use a condom which I did.
And in while I removed the condom she became furious and she took the nearby stabilizer to hit me on my head. And then she beat my left my left ring finger and tried to reach for the door. You know screaming and tried to reach for the door. So while I was bleeding in a bid to stop her I used the stabilizer to hit her and when I hit her she fell and started bleeding then there after she died. So where did she hit you? On my forehead. What did you do? Easy wound on my forehead. You said she agreed to have sex with you and then all of a sudden she started to attack you.
How did it? Happen. I said that while I was about removing the condom, she became serious. Why did you want to remove it? Why did you want to remove her? You, you injured her on my head. What did you use to hit her? What did you use to hit her? The same stabilizer she used to hit. Me. At what point was she shouting, screaming for help? When I tried to remove the condom. But you didn't use only stabilizer, you used something else, say. OK, that was really an iron pressing iron. Where did you used to hit?
Where did you hit? Her on our abdomen part where she was biting me because she held my pinky finger. She was biting the finger so the only way I could stop her was to. Was she a face victim? Yeah, no. So how many, how many people in that in? That process killed, I've not killed anybody. She's the only one I've killed.
How many the same reverse psychology? How many? How many? About 6/6 the NYC issues is the shoe my mom used when she was in NYC that we use for farming. The shoe is just for farming in the houses. No, it's no copper shoes. Not as if a copper came out. How did your father assist you in this? Place He did not assist me in this. Do you live in that house? So who helped you to bury her? Nobody. Did you hypnotize her with any substance? No. When? The number of exercise books are in that compound. Those books, those exercise books, those nursery and primary and secondary exercise books are owned by I and my sisters.
There are several names on them, none of these with your own name. Who are those people?
Those names are. Not several names, different names. There are no different names on them if you open. If you open them, you see either my name or my sister's. Name. How do you go about the red gown? The red gown in the room, In the room? Who owns it? There's a red gown in the room, in all of the rooms. The red gowns, yes.
Where did you go into the? Account Account. What's the level of education? I mean, I mean university students. What level? About university. What?
Public administration. How old are you? Yeah. How? Old are. You 20 years old is my cousin. And how did it help in this whole? Thing it did not help. It didn't help.
That was when I was coming back from Calabar because initially in the morning I went to Calabar. So while I was coming back to submit myself to the police, he was the one that picked me up together with the DPO.
My conversation with him, my conversation with him was very short and simple. He text me the number of DPO that I should call him when I arrive with you. So I called the DPO when I arrived with you and then I met with them and they picked me. They pick me in the in kufres very food. Where did they pick? Me at shelter Afro junction. When you kill her, why do you go and dock me down? When the sentence was passed, Udrich was shocked. He was shocked. He was surprised that people dare to believe that he deserved death.
So he attempted to escape the court right in front of everyone. He attempted to escape. And the security officers, they were very alert of him because the whole time he's so unremorseful, he's so unbothered. So everyone's got a very bitter feeling towards him. Not just the nature of his crime, but his attitude after was disgusting. So he attempted to escape, realized it's impossible. So he attacked one of the lawyers I believe, and try to hold him hostage in front of everyone. But the police officers tackled him and they beat the stupid idea out of him right in court.
And then they dragged him to the police vehicle and they lock him up in the vehicle. The vehicle had bars and everything, you know, like it's reinforced. You see the clip? He just sits there unbothered. He's literally dragged into the vehicle, smacked, smacked, smacked, locked and he just sits back, stone cold face unbothered, no emotion, zero emotion, 100% psychopathic sociopath. He just sat back and looked at everyone. Like what? You've never seen a criminal try to escape before. It was bizarre.
People on social media, when the news was out that he's been sentenced to death, everyone felt like they could finally breathe because the whole time people made sure that this case was not forgotten until he was arrested. He was taken to court. He was. Tried. People kept posting. There were lots of songs made about the victim just to keep her top of the mind until there was justice. There were videos made. It broke a lot of hearts, not just her. Family people all over Nigeria could relate to the case.
Even even some of her online friends would post about missing their banter with her. It was so. Heartbreaking. If you go through her page you'd see posts like beautiful warm posts that just gives you a glimpse of how colorful and beautiful her heart was. She'd post things like please this applies to me no near my DM. If you don't have a single photo of you, I beg do you want to kidnap? Meaning she was a very careful person that even if you if you have no picture of yourself on your page, she wants no interaction with you.
She posts stuff like when you ask people how are you, what answer exactly? Are you expecting the truth as in the true state of their being or the conventional reply? I'm fine. Which goes to show the the depths of her sense of reasoning that she's an empath, someone who is very empathetic of others and considerate. And you can. Tell that she's the kind of person. And I would prefer you tell her things the way it is than try to sugarcoat things for her. She made posts like after liars. The next people I don't want in my space and don't fuck with are people who can't apologize when they mess up.
Shut the fuck up and say sorry. It's not hard. Stop making excuses and say sorry. Own your shit. You might not be able to fix it, but I'm sorry can go a long way. She also made posts like I can't understand liars. The most ridiculous of them are the ones that ain't smart to maintain their lies. They'll say one thing today and say another tomorrow, totally forgetting they said a different thing previously. Must be really stressful and sad having to live like that. She also made a post LMAO I don't wash my hand come out anything with concern premarital sexual activities which is Nigerian pigeon for.
I have washed my hands off anything related to premarital sexual activities. So from her post you can tell she's the kind of person who's forgiving. She would prefer the truth than you sugar coating the lie. And if you did lie, just apologize. Yes, the apology won't fix the lie, but it could go a long way. So back to my theory of what happened, what happened that day before I tell you my theory of what happened that day about the blessing girl, her timeline aligns with what I think of the incident and what happened.
So she posts. I'm just going to read her post to you. So her post goes, my testimony. God has done me well. That is why I don't want to hide it. I have come to testify publicly to the glory of God and to the shame of the devil. 28th April 2021, I was attending an affiliate marketing class on a friend's timeline on a friend's WhatsApp around 7:00 PM. The class has been on for about 3 days. On that day, he taught us on platforms where affiliate marketing thrive and he made mention of GG dot Ng as one of the platforms.
It was actually a link so I clicked on it and it took me to the site. I was still scrolling when I saw a job opening at a hotel at Delta State. The offer came with a very attractive salary and an accommodation too. Since I am unemployed and I was still searching for what to do to keep the body and soul together, I applied for the immediately using my e-mail address. I went back to his status and completed the affiliate marketing class for that day. Next day to the 9th April 2021 at 12:21 PMI got a call from a number which is not on my contact list asking if I'm Blessed Key Godwin.
I told him yes but I am blessing Godwin. He corrected me and told me that when applying for something official, I should use my name and not some unofficial name. I immediately recall that I applied for a job using my e-mail the previous day. I told him it appeared that day on his end because I used my e-mail address and that is my e-mail username. He said it was OK. He asked if I was good with computer. I told him that I try. He said OK, that there is a form along Airport Rd. that needs a secretary for immediate employment and he said if I was interested.
I told him yes and he asked if I could meet him at Airport Rd. immediately. I told him it wasn't possible because I was at Ibeno which is quite far from Uyong. He said he knew. I asked if we could reschedule the meeting to another day and he obliged. He said I should send my CV to him on WhatsApp and I should save his number as Ezekiel. After the call ended, I saved his number as quote Ezekiel job on my phone. Then I went to forward my CV from my e-mail to WhatsApp but I couldn't. I told him I couldn't forward it to WhatsApp, that he should send his e-mail address to me so I could send it to his mail, which he did and I forwarded my CV to him.
I chatted him up and asked if he had seen it. He said no and then I sent it again and asked him for the second time, which he said he has. After a while I didn't hear from him again so I chatted him up. I typed quote hello and I told him that he hasn't said anything since I forwarded the CV to him. He did not reply again. I want to believe that by this time he knew more. He must have arrived the venue and he was probably busy trying to end her life. Since that day I didn't hear from him again and as God would have it, I totally forgot about him and his secretary job.
On that day I had the strong urge to praise God. I didn't know what for and I'm saying there has to be a reason before we praise God. The feeling was so strong I just went on my WhatsApp and typed quote Jesus loves me. But the problem is I don't know why. On the next slide I typed quote God. Why? Why so mindful of small me? I'm undeserving of your love in every meaning of the word undeserved, but yet you still choose to love me. Thank you Lord, for loving me the way you do End Quote. Sincerely. I felt the urge to worship God.
I felt He did something really big for me, but I didn't know what it was. My friend, Fortunate Marvy, even had to ask me to share the testimony of which I told her I didn't have any yet because she would be the first to know once it happened. 11th May 2021. On 11th May 2021, I received a call from a friend asking me if the guy that raped and killed any Omorin called me. I was angry and baffled at the same time because I didn't understand why he would ask me if a murderer called me. I asked him why he would ask that.
He said he was so an investigative news report on Facebook that contained my name as one of the persons the Udwa guy called. I asked him if I was the only Blessing Omorin in Nigeria. He asked if I didn't remember receiving any call from someone like that on 29th April only I began remembering that someone invited me for an interview at Airport Rd. but I wasn't sure of the dates so I told him it might be him or not. He told me the Utwa guy called me after he spoke to Yumorin. He also mentioned the time and the minutes we talked for.
Man I was scared. I told him I would confirm from my call list. We ended the call on a nice note. At this time I didn't remember the name he the interview guy gave me. So I randomly scrolled down to my call list till I got to 29th April and I saw Ezekiel Job and I remembered he asked me to save his number as Ezekiel. I was still in shock trying to process all the information when I received a call from another friend of mine that told me to check my messenger that he has dropped a link to a job opening for me.
I told him OK and when I had to check to check it on messenger I clicked on the link which led me to Kufri Carter's timeline. I scrolled down I saw the post which my name was mentioned right under the job opening post. I abandoned the job opening post and read the one that carried my name. Then I realized that the good white guy is the same as the kill that called me for the job interview. The number on the post was the same number that called me that afternoon. The date he called me was the same as in the post.
The time he called was the same as in the post. The minute we spoke for was same as in the post. Men and brethren, I couldn't help but shed hot tears. My thoughts travelled far and wide. All I did was imagine what would have become of me if I had gone for the interview. Maybe it would have been just this for any injustice, for blessing. How would my parents take the news? How would my siblings take the news? How would my friends take the news? How would my enemies take the news? I. Shed hot tears.
So according to the news, according to the information that we, the online sleuths could gather any posted about the job on 27th of April 2021, Boudreau contacted her the very next day, 28th of April 2021 and invited her for an interview. Because he needs someone for urgent hire, immediate hire at a farm as a secretary. Perhaps he gave her the same information that he did to Blessing, that he needs someone for urgent hire at a farm that needs a secretary. Not his bullshit story that he claimed about the narcotics and her claiming that she does narcotics herself.
Perhaps he just told her what he told Blessing. I need someone for a secretary job. So can you come urgent hire? I can interview right now if you're available. So perhaps she was available and decides, OK, I'm going to come direct me to the place, this book for two minutes and that was it. Right after he's done talking to Ini, he calls Blessing at 121 on the same day he spoke to Ini at 1:17. They spoke for two minutes, which brings it to 119 and two minutes. Right after speaking to Ini, he calls Blessing and they spoke for 2 1/2 minutes, 147 seconds.
And Blessing tells him it's not possible for me to meet you today, let's reschedule but I'll send my CV so. While he's waiting. For Annie to arrive, he's going back and forth, communicating with Blessing, pretending to have a job offer, the same job offer that he's just invited Annie to. This is where my theory comes in. I'm just telling you my opinion, what I believe happened. It's my thought, my opinion. This is not to sway you or to convince you to share my opinion. This is just to tell you my understanding of the case.
Please do your own research and come to your own conclusions and inform your own opinions. I'm not saying again that this is what happened, but this is my evaluation of what happened based on the social media available contents and the reports and the articles, the news, the interviews that I've consumed. He tells her same story. I have a farm or there's a farm, there's a secretary come, she goes. Like I did mention earlier, if you do remember, the father's property has a completed building. It has an open space that has plants, crops, trees and some fruits.
And it could easily pass for a farm, maybe a farm that's about to be developed because there was, it was a huge plot of land, empty space, open space that he could easily tell someone, oh, we're about to build some coops and pens for some chickens and pigs. Perhaps we're going to grow crops or whatever. There was a space of land for a farm. So perhaps she arrives, she sees the uncompleted building. She sees the open space that could easily be a farm. She's not that, you know, alarmed maybe a little bit.
But again, she wasn't expecting to see a corporate building because he did say a farm. And sometimes people do that when they're starting a farm. They start lean, they have open space, they grow crops and then they sell those crops and then they. Build a coop. And then they sell the chicken and eggs, and then they build more. They build more infrastructure for the farm and the uncompited building. Sometimes people just build that as their home they're going to live in, and it's still in construction while they operate the farm.
And maybe in a few years they could live at the farm as well. It's not shocking to see a building project at a farm anywhere in the world. People who run farms, they have a building there, a a house, whatever, that they can live and work on their farm. It's not. Surprising. And it's not surprising to see that your house is still being built. So maybe he's telling her all this, oh, we're going to be living at the farm too, don't worry. But right. Now we're still working on it, you know, anything to get her to relax and calm down.
So again, farm work secretary and sometimes if they need secretary, she could be of the impression and she's going to be working out of the uncompeted building. Maybe they're going to have a desk at one corner of the the the rooms there and she's going to be there and, you know, record all the sales and all the purchases, which I believe is how he talked her into stepping into that building with him. A farmer needs a secretary. You're not going to be keeping records in the middle of the farm or in the coop with the chickens.
You're going to have your own space. And he could say stuff like the buildings are completed, but when we complete it, we're going to have an office here. But for now, we're still operating out of, you know, the building. So come, let me show you where your desk is at, where you're going to be working from. So she walks in there with him and no desk, nothing in there, barely anything that looks even like the live in that room. She asks what's going on and that's when he holds her hostage and tells her you're not leaving, I'm holding you hostage and I'll only set you free if you let me sexually assault you.
I wasn't going to mention this, but remember earlier when I said I dug too deep into this case and I found some information that I wish I didn't. I came across a snippet of an audio that the victim recorded during her assault. The the the audio, you can hear her crying and screaming and calling out to God and you can tell this person is assaulted against their will, which contradicts the suspect's claim that she said, OK, you can assault me, but you have to use protection. There's no way she would cry and scream and you can feel her pain, her fear in her voice and she's calling out to God.
She's literally screaming Jesus the whole time. No one's going to call out to God and scream that way. And it's been that much fear. If they just told you, OK, do what you gotta do. So I believe there was absolutely no way that any told him, OK, do what you must. I I accept she didn't. He forcefully assaulted her and he claimed it was self-defense. She hit me first. For those who don't know what a stabilizer is because he claimed she smacked me in the face of a stabilizer. First off, I wish that was the case.
I wish you did smack him with the stabilizer because a stabilizer is heavy. Now it's, it stabilizes voltage, you know, power voltage. And it's something that most homes in Nigeria have it. We had it growing up because the power, sometimes it's low voltage, sometimes it's too high, it's blowing things up or other times it's too low, it's tripping things. So you need a stabilizer to either reduce the the the voltage of the power if it's too high or to increase it a little and stabilize it for you, unless it's too low for the stabilizer to even power.
So most homes have stabilizer because you don't know today the power could be too low and tomorrow it's too high. That thing can be only compared to a dumbbell. It looks small and compact. It looks square and boxy. You might just grab it and you think it's going to be like so easy to pick up and then you're like heavier than I thought. The room has no doors, no window, no chairs, no mattress, no furnitures, nothing. And a girl is assaulted there. How is she assaulted? Definitely not standing, because if maybe she was standing, she could easily bend, grab the stabilizer and smack him.
So let's assume that she's pinned down to the ground because he's distracted. According to his story, he's trying to take off the protection. So he's a little bit distracted. His grip on her is is a little loose and she grabs the stabilizer and smacks him. If you've been pinned on your back screaming for as long as she did in pain and all that, you can't just grab a stabilizer that's next to you and smack someone in the face. You will drop the stabilizer on yourself. It's that's if we can even pick it up.
So she did not smack him with anything when he was saying, oh, look, this, she smacked me on the face. This is this is where she smacked me on the face. You zoom into the video screenshot and zoom into it. Nothing, nothing. I did not see anything. That's the result of her smacking him on the face. But he kept pointing at his face. This is this is where she smacked me. This is what the smack did to me. So she smacked you once you barely had a scar, A wound, anything on your face. But then when she smacked you, you you got hit and you got off her.
Or you're in pain and she tries to run away from you so you attacked her and you smacked her with the same stabilizer once and she falls to the ground and she dies. So she smacks you. You get away with barely any scar, none that I can see, but you smack her once and she dies. So it was a wafer when she hit you with it and suddenly a heavy stabilizer when you hit her. My theory is from her post, you can see she hates liars. She arrived there. He tells her there's no job. She's pissed. And obviously he's ballsy because he's done this before.
Heck, he's done this six times before. And every single time those women come, they get terrified, they get traumatized that they never speak up, they don't tell anyone, they don't say anything, they don't report him. So after doing this for six times, he's ballsy. He's sure he will get away with it again, but this time he made a fighter a worry. She's pissed. Why would you lie? Why would you waste my time?
He tells her his true intention that he's going to assault her before he lets her go. And perhaps she's like no, you're not. And he attacks her. She manages to record the incident where he assaults her. And from the recording, the little bit that I listened to, it was like few seconds, you can tell that is not that. That is against her wish. When he's finished, he realizes he can't let her go like the others because the others, perhaps they're so fearful, so traumatized, they comply and he's finished and they promise they wouldn't say anything.
And he lets them go. And they are so traumatized that they don't say anything but must have fought back the whole time. He knows she won't stay quiet. She will take him down the minute she leaves. She will fight him. She will push the trauma to the side of her mind and make sure he pays first. Knowing this, he decided on his own that he he can't. He can't let that happen. From his interviews he can tell this guy has no emotion, has no feeling, has no care in the world, definitely has no empathy.
So he decided, I can't stop now, won't stop now. More women too traumatized. I won't let her be the one to take me down. So he ended her life self and then came up with a self-defense story? Absolutely no way it was a self-defense and I am happy the court saw through his bullshit and agreed. No way it was self-defense. You stalked her, you preyed on her at her vulnerable moment and you lured her there, kidnapped her, assaulted her. That still wasn't enough for you?
How do I end this? I honestly don't know. We can't even say things like don't apply for jobs online. The world is literally online now. Our lives are online now. We all live digitally now. Most people get their jobs purely online. We all get works online. We work online, we post job opportunities online. We apply for jobs online. So we can't even say oh don't apply for jobs online. That is our way of life now. She did nothing wrong. All she did was live her life life, study, work hard, graduate with good GPA and just needed money.
She could have stolen, she could have been lazy and not do anything but she wanted a job to work. She did nothing wrong. Unfortunately her story is not the only one. There are so many women who are also victims of terrible terrible genocide. And to believe that his stupid excuse was that working girls didn't dirty in the past so he attitude hurt other women as payback. Really. I honestly don't know how to end this but I'm just going to say live and let fucking live. It's not hard. It's already hard to live a good life individually.
Focus on living your best life. Leave others alone, leave people alone. His father in his own press conference said his son has schizophrenia and that was the reason why he did what he did. There are thousands if not millions of people with schizophrenia who don't hurt anyone. They don't hurt people. They already have their challenges they have to live through every day, hallucinations, delusions, depression. They don't go around just offing people for fun, hurting people for fun just because what?
Invited a working girl to come meet you, perhaps send her money and she was a no show. He said they did him dirty. What dirty did they do? Did they kidnap you and lock your for ransom? No, perhaps the only dirty they did him was maybe take money from him be no show he was disappointed. What kind of dirty did they do? I don't even think that is the reason. He's just a terrible terrible devil. I can't help but ask questions like how many fake jobs offers exist right now, this very minute today? How many victims don't get to post warnings?
Thank you so much for listening to my rant today. This one was really really painful. It was hurtful and I think this one will take me a few days longer to recover from than the other cases. I'm really sorry for giving you another really heavy case today right after the last one. But also I didn't want to talk about crimes against kids because I have other cases I'm currently researching and after the terrible crime against the child, I couldn't stomach another one. And I didn't even look into any case at first.
But I had already decided it was going to be my next case and when I started researching I couldn't stop. And eventually it turned out to be just as heavy as the last one. My apologies, but I think we need to hear these cases. We need to be aware of them and unfortunately there's nothing we could do different from what she did. She did everything she could. She did nothing wrong. It could have been anyone. Her only mistake to him, which is not a mistake at all, it's a virtue, was that she was fearless.
She was a fighter and that scared him because he was a weak man who preyed on people that he thought were weak. Thank you so much for joining me today. Thank you so much for listening to today's episode. I'll try to share a lighter case on the next one. No promises, but it always remember, danger doesn't look like danger. Monsters don't look like monsters. Be your brother's keeper. Live and let live. Stay safe, stay alive. I love you for joining me today. I'll see you in the next one. Bye.
